Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of EasyEntry.
Last updated: 10 July 2026
1. Agreement to terms
By creating an account, purchasing a ticket, listing an event, calling our API, or otherwise using the EasyEntry websites, apps, and services (the "Service"), you ("you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms and the term "you" refers to that organisation. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
EasyEntry provides a hosted event ticketing and registration platform. Organisers can create events and sessions, sell tickets (paid, free, or donation), collect registration data, run reserved seating or general admission, take payment, check attendees in, and settle takings to their own bank account. Attendees can discover events and buy tickets on the public site.
EasyEntry is a technology and payments platform. Except where we expressly sell our own tickets, we are not the seller, promoter, or producer of events listed on the Service. The contract for attendance is between the buyer and the organiser. Service capabilities may evolve over time.
3. Accounts
Organiser accounts are free and include the features we make available on the Service (there are no subscription tiers). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys, and for all activity that occurs under your account or organisation. You must provide accurate and current account information and keep it up to date. Notify us immediately at security@easyentry.com.au of any unauthorised use of your account or suspected security incident.
Buying tickets as a guest does not require an EasyEntry account. Guest buyers remain bound by these Terms to the extent they apply to purchases and use of tickets.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others.
- List or promote fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful events, or events you are not authorised to sell.
- Distribute malware, phishing content, or attempt to compromise the Service or its users.
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without our written consent.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or benchmark the Service for the purpose of building a competing product, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law.
- Circumvent security, rate limits, inventory controls, or payment flows, or generate traffic that materially degrades the Service for others.
- Use API keys or integrations in a way that exposes secrets, exceeds documented limits through deliberate circumvention, or abuses the Service.
We may apply technical rate limits and quotas to protect the Service. Sustained or abusive use beyond those limits may result in suspension under Section 13.
5. Fees, payments, and taxes
Free events and free tickets carry no EasyEntry fee. Paid tickets carry the transaction fees described on our Pricing page (a per-ticket fee plus an all-inclusive processing percentage, with a foreign-card surcharge where applicable). Who pays each fee component may be configured per event within the options we provide; defaults and current amounts are published on the Pricing page and may be updated as described in Section 22.
Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers. Fees are stated in Australian dollars unless otherwise indicated. You are responsible for taxes that apply to your events and sales, other than taxes on EasyEntry's own income. Where we issue tax invoices or credit notes for platform fees, we do so in accordance with applicable Australian tax rules.
There is no subscription fee for organiser accounts. Failed or disputed payments may result in delayed ticket issuance, voided tickets, or suspension as described in these Terms.
6. Organisers and events
If you create or manage events on the Service, you are solely responsible for your events, including content, pricing, capacity, ticket delivery, entry and check-in, attendee communications, refunds and cancellations, accessibility, and compliance with applicable law (including consumer, advertising, and venue rules). You must publish a clear refund and cancellation policy for each event where required.
You represent that you have all rights needed to list the event and sell tickets. We may remove or suspend events or organisations that we reasonably believe breach these Terms or pose legal, fraud, or safety risk.
Selling paid tickets requires a connected payout account with our payment provider. Free events do not.
7. Buying tickets
When you buy a ticket, you purchase from the organiser, not from EasyEntry (unless we expressly say otherwise for a specific event). Ticket types, prices, fees shown at checkout, and any registration questions are set by the organiser within the Service. You must provide accurate buyer and attendee information.
Tickets are typically delivered by email as a scannable code or PDF. Entry is controlled by the organiser. Duplicate, voided, refunded, or invalid tickets may be refused at the door.
8. Payouts
Organiser payouts for paid sales are settled through Stripe Connect (or successor) to the organiser's connected account, net of applicable platform fees, refunds, chargebacks, and adjustments. Onboarding and identity checks are performed by Stripe. EasyEntry does not hold organiser bank credentials. Timing of payouts follows the payment provider's schedules and risk controls.
9. Refunds and cancellations
Refund eligibility is governed by the organiser's stated policy for the event and by applicable law (including the Australian Consumer Law). Where a refund is processed through the Service, associated tickets are voided and fees may be adjusted in accordance with our fee schedule and the payment provider's rules. Chargebacks and payment disputes may reverse payouts and void tickets.
EasyEntry may assist organisers with refund tooling but is not obliged to refund buyers for organiser decisions, event quality, or entry disputes, except where required by law or where we are the seller.
10. Customer and event data
You retain rights in the content and data you submit to the Service ("Customer Data"), including event details and, for organisers, attendee and registration information you collect. You grant EasyEntry a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, and process Customer Data solely to provide, secure, and improve the Service, and to comply with law.
Organisers are responsible for the lawfulness of registration questions and for obtaining any consents required from attendees. Our handling of personal information is further described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Intellectual property
As between you and us, EasyEntry and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including software, documentation, designs, and the EasyEntry name and marks. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service. No other rights are granted by implication, estoppel, or otherwise.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use them without restriction or compensation.
12. Service availability
We aim for reliable performance of public checkout and organiser tools, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scheduled maintenance, upstream incidents (including payment-provider outages), force majeure events, or factors outside our reasonable control may cause downtime. We may place the Service in maintenance mode during releases.
13. Suspension
We may suspend your access to all or part of the Service, with notice where practical, if (a) you breach these Terms, including Section 4 (Acceptable use); (b) your use poses a material security, legal, fraud, or operational risk to EasyEntry, organisers, buyers, or third parties; (c) required payout or identity checks fail or are revoked; or (d) we are required to do so by law or our payment provider. We will restore access promptly once the cause of suspension is resolved, where restoration is appropriate.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and, where available, close or delete your organisation from your account settings subject to outstanding obligations (including open events, refunds, and payouts). We may terminate or refuse continued access on notice for material breach that is not cured within 14 days, for prolonged inactivity, or for grounds described in Section 13. On termination, your right to access the Service ends. Sections 10, 11, and 15–23 survive termination.
15. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, EasyEntry disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that events will take place as described by organisers. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. EasyEntry's total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to EasyEntry in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred Australian dollars (AUD $100) if you have paid no such fees. These limits apply in aggregate across all claims and theories of liability, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
17. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold EasyEntry and its personnel harmless from and against any third-party claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to (a) your Customer Data or events; (b) your breach of these Terms, including Section 4 (Acceptable use); (c) your violation of law or the rights of a third party; or (d) if you are an organiser, claims by attendees or buyers relating to your event, tickets, entry, refunds, or marketing. We will give you prompt notice of any such claim and reasonable cooperation, and you will not settle any claim that imposes obligations on us without our prior written consent.
18. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for any failure or delay in performance (other than payment obligations that remain due) caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labour disputes, internet or telecommunications failures, government actions, epidemic, or third-party infrastructure or payment-provider outages.
19. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights or obligations under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganisation, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets. Any prohibited assignment is void.
20. Notices
We may give notices to you by email to the address on your account or order, by in-product notification, or by posting them on the Service. You must send legal notices to legal@easyentry.com.au. Notices are deemed given on the day they are sent where sent electronically. You are responsible for keeping your contact email address current.
21. Severability and entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms we expressly present for a specific feature, constitute the entire agreement between you and EasyEntry regarding the Service and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements on that subject. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-product notice at least 30 days before they take effect where practical. Non-material changes (such as clarifications) take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you must stop using the Service before the change takes effect.
23. Contact
